Knowledge Translation and Exchange

Explore and evaluate methods of knowledge translation and exchange to effectively mobilize evidence from nutrition and community mental health research. Improve dissemination and uptake of new and existing knowledge to strengthen the impact of community services, inform policy and program decision-makers, and increase food literacy in the target population.

While research evidence exists related to specific nutrients and connections with mental health, the responses received from this project indicate that this knowledge perhaps has not been transferred to many of those working in the mental health sector, and/or the research completed to-date does not offer evidence related to the needs of the population or it is presented in a way that is not pragmatic for use on the front line. — Roundtable participant
